What is the SCION Accelerator?

SCION Accelerator, in partnership with Rezolv Shift, is a curated 10-week program designed to fast-track Clean & Nature Tech innovation across Bulgaria and Romania. We support early-stage startups and research teams working to restore ecosystems, advance climate resilience, and merge sustainability with scalable technology.

Building early-stage Clean Tech or Nature Tech startups — from biodiversity tracking and regenerative agriculture to carbon removal and circular economy solutions.

Scientists & Academics

Academic or research groups looking to translate cutting-edge research into commercial or impact-driven applications.

Impact-Driven Builders

Multidisciplinary teams that are one step beyond the idea stage, ready to prototype, pilot, or scale nature-positive solutions across sectors.

Program Snapshot

  • The program kicks off in person in Sofia, Bulgaria, includes weekly online sessions, and concludes with a final in-person demo day in Sofia.

  • 10 weeks. The program kicks off on 16th March with an in-person onboarding weekend in Sofia (14th-15th September), and concludes in May with a final demo day in Sofia.

  • Equity is granted in consideration for accelerator services, mentorship, and resources.

  • Applications close on 1st March.

    Chris is an Associate Professor in Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the University of Cambridge. He started his career as an entrepreneur before becoming an academic, and these days he is back in the trenches and out of the ivory tower, having founded and scaled Europe’s leading pre-seed climate tech Venture Builder, Carbon13.

With over a decade of experience turning ambitious visions into user-friendly, fundable products, she specializes in bringing clarity, traction, and momentum to founders working on biodiversity and climate solutions.

    Ben Sanders is a senior leader, advisor, and operator with over 15 years of experience driving growth and go-to-market strategies across fintech, B2B, and high-growth technology companies. He has held leadership positions in three unicorns and worked with companies from seed stage through IPO, running teams of more than 100 people across multiple geographies with full P&L ownership.
